COVID-19 Response Plan
- I am monitoring and following the Nova Scotia Health Authority updates regularly.
- I also belong to the ScotDance Canada Emergency Task Force.
- Only dancers are permitted into the studio/waiting room and parents/guardians must remain outside.
- Dancers and parents should wear masks on their way to the studio. Once dancers are inside and have sanitized their hands, they can remove their masks.
- Dancers should arrive dressed in their dance attire and wear knee socks and dance slippers (no bare feet).
- Class sizes are small.
- Social distancing will be encouraged and dancers will remain in the same class bubble for each term.
- Dancers (and myself) must sanitize when entering and exiting the studio (sanitizer is provided).
- Dancers (any myself) must sanitize the bathroom after each use (spray sanitizer is provided).
- As per the latest health authority update, dancers should not wear masks while exercising.
- Dancers (and myself) must use proper cough and sneeze etiquette.
- Dancers must bring their own water bottles and not share.
- I will keep attendance with specific dates and times of each dancer, in case we need this information for contact tracing.
- If dancers experience a cough, fever or sickness of any kind they must stay home from class.
- If I experience a cough, fever or sickness of any kind I will cancel classes.
- I am spacing my classes 15 minutes apart so there are fewer people in contact.
- In between classes, I will sanitize the high traffic touch areas, including the bathroom.
- I have removed towels from the bathroom.
- Dancers will dry their hands with paper towel and spray sanitizer after each use.
- It’s important for dancers to arrive on time (no more than 5 minutes early) and be picked up on time.
- In the case of a possible shut down due to COVID-19, I will be offering Zoom classes in place of face-to-face classes.
- The price remains the same for Zoom classes.
